CINNAMON BUNS | |
1 c. milk 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. warm water 2 pkg. yeast 2 eggs, beaten 5-6 c. flour Scald milk, stir in sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Put water into large bowl and sprinkle yeast and stir until dissolved. Add milk mixture and eggs. Stir in 2 cups flour until smooth. Stir in remaining flour. Knead on lightly floured board, until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl and turn to grease top. Let rise 30 minutes. Punch down dough and divide into 3 equal parts. Roll each piece into 14 x 9 inch. Brush with butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll like jelly roll and slice into 9 equal pieces and cover and let rise 30 minutes. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degree oven. Drizzle with powdered sugar icing. Makes 27 rolls. |
