2 lb. butter 4 tbsp. vanilla flavoring 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar 6 tbsp. warm water 10 to 12 c. all-purpose flour chopped toasted pecans Cream together first 4 ingredients. Add flour until dough doesn't stick to your hands and is easy to roll into 3/4-inch bars. Work in chopped pecans and shape into crescents. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F approximately 30 minutes, or until lightly golden. After cookies are cooled, roll in powdered sugar gently because they break easily. Don't use glass pans to bake in. Have ingredients at room temperature. Use large dish pan for mixing. |
