PEANUT BUTTER CHEWIES | |
2/3 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 2 c. granulated sugar 1 c. peanut butter 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. rolled oats Combine shortening, sugar, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla in mixer bowl and blend thoroughly at low speed. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and mix with oats. Blend flour mixture into creamed mixture and spread into shallow sheet pans and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. FROSTING: 1 c. powdered sugar with enough water to make a thin glaze Spread glaze while still warm. |
