OLD FASHIONED STIRRED CUSTARD 
2 eggs
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. all purpose flour
3 c. milk, scalded
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs until frothy, add sugar and flour, beating until thick. Gradually stir about 1 cup of milk into yolk mixture, add to remaining milk, stirring constantly. Cook in top of double boiler over low boiling water. Cook, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes or until thickened. Stir in vanilla. Serve warm or cold.
