LAYERED CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
3 carrots, peeled & sliced
3 stalks celery, sliced
1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
2 potatoes, peeled & sliced
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried parsley
1/4 tsp. dried dill
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Break up meat into bottom of a greased 2 quart baking dish. Spread evenly in one layer.

Arrange carrots on top of meat.

Follow with celery, potato slices, onion, green pepper and finish with mushrooms. Add seasonings all over and cover with tomato sauce.

Place in preheated oven, and bake for 2 hours, covered.

Serve very hot with good hot bread and green salad. Serves 4.
