SAUERKRAUT & NOODLES 
1 bag or 2 (1 lb.) cans sauerkraut
1 sm. onion
5-7 slices bacon
Fine egg noodles (8 oz.)

Use a casserole dish with lid.

Cook sauerkraut on top of stove 1 hour. (Cook, covered, add small amount water as needed.)

Cook noodles. Cut bacon into chunks.

Dice onion, cook in bacon. Save for later. Mix sauerkraut (with juice) with noodles. Pour bacon and onion mixture over top of noodles and sauerkraut. Best made early in the day and allowed to sit at room temperature as long as possible before baking, covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
