COLE SLAW 
6 c. shredded cabbage
1/3 c. (each) finely chopped onion, green pepper or carrots
1/2 tsp. celery seed
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix and chill. Here's a choice of 2 dressings.

CREAMY DRESSING:

4 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 tbsp. sugar

SWEET DRESSING:

3 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt

Boil until it spins a thread; cool 10 minutes. Add 1 cup cider vinegar; stir well and refrigerate; keeps indefinitely.
