MACAROON POUND CAKE 
4 eggs
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 c. milk
1 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2 cans or 1 pkg. coconut

Separate eggs. Place yolks into bowl. Beat yolks with shortening. Add sugar gradually. Beat until light and fluffy. Put in flour alternating with milk. Beat well. Add coconut. Beat egg whites to peak. Fold into batter. Bake 1 hour or until done.
