CHOCOLATE CRUMBLE BARS | |
1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. chopped pecans 2 tbsp. cocoa 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking powder 2 c. tiny marshmallows 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate semi-sweet pieces (1 c.) 1 c. peanut butter 1 1/2 c. crisp rice cereal Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, chopped nuts, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Stir into egg mixture. Spread in bottom of greased baking pan. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until bars look done. Remove from oven. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over top. Bake 3 minutes more. Cool. In small pan, combine chocolate pieces and peanut butter. Cook and stir over low heat until chocolate is melted. Stir in cereal. Spread mixture on cooled bars. Chill and cut. Makes 3 to 4 dozen. Use 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees. |
