SCALLOPED POTATOES & HAM 
1/2 c. onions, sliced thin
4 1/2 c. potatoes, sliced med.
3 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
7 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 3/4 c. milk
1 or 2 c. ham, cut in pieces

Cover while cooking. Add onions, potatoes and 2 teaspoons salt with enough boiling water to cover potatoes and onions. Boil 5 minutes, drain. Melt butter, stir in remaining salt, pepper and flour. Add milk, cook until slightly thick.

Grease casserole dish with butter. Add layers of potatoes, onions, ham and gravy. Bake, covered with foil, at 400 degrees for 35 minutes.
