CHEESE CARAWAY BUTTER BREAD 
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/4 c. warm water
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tsp. shortening
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. caraway seeds
2 2/3 c. flour
Melted butter

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add cheese, shortening, sugar, salt, caraway seeds and 2 cups of flour. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed. Stir in remaining flour until smooth. Cover and let rise. Stir down by beating about 25 strokes.

Spread in loaf pan. Smooth out top of batter by patting down. Cover and let rise until double (approximately 40 minutes). Heat oven to 375 degrees and bake 45 minutes. Brush top with melted butter.
