FRIED CHICKEN PHILIPPINE-STYLE 
1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut into serving pieces
1/4 c. white vinegar
1 c. water
4 clove garlic, crushed
1 c. cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Simmer chicken in vinegar, water, garlic, salt and pepper until almost done. Drain off liquid. Deep fry chicken in oil until brown. Drain chicken. Serves 3-4.
