JACK-O'-LANTERN BAKE 
1 med. pie pumpkin
Salt
1/2 lb. bulk sausage
1 lb. hamburger
3 med. onions
1/4 tsp. pepper
6 c. bread cubes
1 egg
4 tbsp. flour

Prepare pumpkin as for jack-o-lantern. Make face by cutting just through rind; salt inside. Saute sausage, hamburger, and onions; add 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Add 2/3 of the meat mixture to bread cubes. Add egg and water if needed to make dressing. Stuff pumpkin; replace lid. Place in pan containing 1/2 inch warm water. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Prick pumpkin to test for doneness. Hat will rise. Add flour to remaining meat mixture; add water to make sauce. Cut pumpkin into wedges; remove rind. Serve with gravy. Yield: 8 servings.
