1 stick butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. tightly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 tbsp. rum or kaluha

Mix butter, sugars, egg and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Sift together dry ingredients; stir into creamy mix. Add chocolate and nuts.

Drop from teaspoon about 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
