1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 egg yolks
2 beaten egg whites
1 c. chopped pecans
4 tbsp. sour buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
3 bananas
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, pecans and bananas. Mix soda and buttermilk; stir in small amounts of flour and milk alternately; add vanilla, then fold in slightly beaten egg whites.

FILLING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 sm. can condensed milk

Mix 1 cup sugar with butter and milk in sauce pan and bring to a boil. Brown the 1/2 cup sugar in frying pan and add slowly to other mixture, stirring as vanilla is poured in.
