APPLE STRUDEL 
2 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. water
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
4 apples, sliced
1 stick butter

DOUGH:

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. lard
1/2 c. milk

Mix sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg in saucepan. Bring to boil 5 minutes add stick of butter. This is to be poured over dumplings. Roll dough-put in apples. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Close dough, pour sugar mixture on top. Bake at 400 degrees until brown.
