CHICKEN CACCIATORE 
4 slices bacon, diced
3/4 c. (4 oz. can) sliced mushrooms
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 1/2 c. (1, 32 oz. jar) spaghetti sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 1/2-3 lb. chicken, cut into serving pieces
1/2 c. vegetable oil
Spaghetti

Saute bacon in large saucepan until brown. Add mushrooms and onions. Cook until onion is tender. Stir in spaghetti sauce, salt, oregano and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Saute chicken in oil in large skillet, until brown on all sides. Add chicken to sauce. Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until chicken is tender. Serve over hot, cooked spaghetti.
