OLD TIME GINGER BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. Brer Rabbit (Green Label) molasses
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk

Cream together shortening, molasses and sugar. Sift together dry ingredients. Add with remaining ingredients and mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes in 8 x 8 inch pan. Cool and cut in squares.
