GINGER BREAD WITH LEMON SAUCE 
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. Grandma's molasses
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. hot water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 egg

Stir all ingredients together. Grease and flour pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

LEMON SAUCE:

1/2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. cornstarch or 1 1/2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. nutmeg

Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add water slowly, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes, then remove from heat. Add butter, lemon juice, and nutmeg.
