MOM'S POPCORN NUT CRUNCH 
4 qt. popped popcorn
2 c. dry roasted peanuts
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In roasting pan spread popcorn and nuts. In heavy 1 1/2 quart pan stir together; sugar, butter and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils, continue cooking for 5 minutes, without stirring. After 5 minutes take from heat, stir in soda and vanilla. Stir to coat popcorn. Bake uncovered for 1 hour. Cool and break apart. Store in tight covered container.
