1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (about 1 cup)
3 tbsp. shortening
6 bananas
18 popsicle or craft sticks

Melt semi-sweet chocolate morsels over hot (not boiling) water. Add shortening and stir until melted. Remove from heat.

Cut bananas in thirds crosswise. Insert popsicle stick in cut end of banana. Dip into melted chocolate, allowing a small portion to adhere to stick. Place on waxed paper. Chill until set.

Makes 18 broomsticks.

Variation: After dipping, add your choice sprinkles or jimmies for an extra treat.
