TACO SALAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
1 (16 oz.) jar taco sauce, divided
2 small heads lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
1/2 c. sliced olives
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 large tomato, diced
1 ripe avocado, diced
1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c. broken taco shells -or- nacho chips

Prepare ground beef according to directions on seasoning mix package. Add refried beans and 3/4 cup taco sauce.

In large serving bowl, arrange half the lettuce. Add beef and bean mixture. Top with remaining lettuce, olives, onion, tomato, avocado, cheese and broken shells or chips. Serve with remaining taco sauce.

Makes 6 servings.
