MOM'S BLINTZ CASSEROLE 
Dough:

1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter in 2-quart casserole dish. Add all other dough ingredients and mix well. Divide dough in half. Put 1/2 in the bottom of casserole dish.

Filling:

1 lb. farmer's cheese
1 lb. cottage cheese
juice of 1 lemon
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
salt, to taste

Mix ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add filling to casserole. Use the remaining 1/2 dough for the top. Bake 1-1/2 hours at 300°F or until brown.

Freezable.

VARIATION: add 4 oz. cream cheese and 1 tsp. vanilla to filling if creamier filling is desired.

Good for Shavouth.
