6 WEEK BRAN MUFFINS 
1 (15 oz.) box Raisin Bran (7 c.)
3 c. sugar
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 c. oil (or melted shortening)
1 qt. buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
Nuts (optional)
Additional raisins (optional)
Grated zucchini (optional)

Mix together first 5 ingredients. Add oil, buttermilk, and eggs. Add optional ingredients, if desired.

Fill muffin tins 3/4 full and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes 4 dozen regular sized muffins or 2 dozen large muffins.

Mixture keeps for 6 weeks in closed container in the refrigerator and can be baked as desired. Batter will seem thicker when cold but does not need to be thinned.
