STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD 
2 2/3 c. coarsely crushed pretzels
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 scant c. sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip
2 (3 oz.) strawberry Jello
2 c. boiling water
16 oz. frozen strawberries
1/2 c. cold water

Cream together butter and sugar. Add pretzel. Press into 9 x 13 inch dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool. Cream together cream cheese and sugar. Stir in 8 ounce Cool Whip. Spread over pretzel layer.

Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add thawed and undrained sliced strawberries and water. Chill. Then pour over cheese layer. Refrigerate for several hours. (Pretzels taste like nuts.)
