PASTA SAUCE SUPREME | |
2 (32 oz.) jars Ragu tomato sauce 1 lb. uncooked shelled shrimp 2 lbs. Italian sausage 3 lbs. cut and boned chicken 1 c. sliced green pepper 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms 1/2 c. diced onion 2 bay leaves 1 c. white wine 2 cloves garlic 2 tsp. basil 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. thyme 1/2 tsp. rosemary 1/2 tsp. cumin 1/4 c. olive oil 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese Put 1/2 olive oil in fry pan. Under meat heat saute shrimp, chicken and sausage. Set aside. Saute onion, mushrooms and pepper and garlic. Add white wine; bring to boil. Add to sauce with meat. Sauce should simmer with bay leaf for 1 hour before adding meat and vegetables. Add spices and let simmer for another hour then add cheese, then serve over rice or pasta. |
