LOELLA HANSEN'S BEET PICKLES 
2 c. vinegar
2 c. water
4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 lemon, sliced thin

Mix and heat together. Cook beets until tender. Slice and heat with the brine. Pack jars with beets and pour hot brine over. Can and seal.
