LOUISIANA BAYOU BEANS AND RICE 
1/4 lb. ground beef
1 sm. chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp. dried onions
1/2 c. shredded cheese
Dash of garlic salt
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans with liquid
3/4 c. tomato juice
1/4 c. reg. long grain rice

Brown meat in skillet. Add all ingredients, except cheese. Mix well. Cover and simmer on low heat until rice is cooked. Cover with cheese. Return to heat until cheese is melted. Makes 4 servings.

I double the recipe.
