1/2 c. butter

Combine candy and butter in medium saucepan and melt over very low heat. While melting, prepare batter.

BATTER:

1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and soda alternating with buttermilk. Stir until smooth. Add candy and mix well. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into greased and floured bundt pan or 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool for a few minutes and remove from pan.
