OATMEAL BUNS 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. oatmeal
4 tbsp. shortening
2 pkgs. yeast
1 3/4 c. warm water
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. molasses
2 eggs, well beaten
6 c. flour
Salt

Pour hot water over oatmeal, salt and shortening. Put yeast in 1/2 cup warm water and teaspoon of sugar. Let stand for 2 minutes. Mix with the rest of ingredients. Let rise until double, then knead. Let rise again. Make into buns. Let rise. Bake in moderate oven until done.
