JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
6 med. golden Delicious apples, cut in eights
5 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. cinnamon

Mix well, set aside.

4 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. orange juice
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. oil

Beat mixture until smooth. Pour 1/2 batter into ungreased tube pan. add 1/2 of apples, rest of the batter, then rest of apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until tests done. Cool 15 minutes, then remove from pan.
