GERMAN PIGS IN A BLANKET 
1 lb. raw hamburger
1 c. cooked rice
Chopped onion
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix together and roll into balls. Use one head of large cabbage leaves cut off the head in one pieces. Place in boiling water to soften, about 2 minutes. When soft enough, remove from water - must hold together. Place meat filling in center of cabbage leaves; roll tightly. If need be, secure with toothpick.

BROTH:

3 potatoes, cut in 1/8
4 carrots or as many as you like, cut in pieces
1 lg. can of tomatoes
1 onion, cut in pieces

Cut up remainder of cabbage into wedges; place all vegetables in large pot. Add water to cover vegetables. Place cabbage rolls on top of vegetables. Bring to a boil until vegetables are tender. Lift out cabbage rolls and place on platter. Serve with cooked vegetables.
