FRUIT BREAD 
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. dried apricots & prunes, cut in sm. pieces
3 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour

Pour 1 cup boiling water over raisins, apricots, prunes and baking soda. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Add oil, eggs, sugar, vanilla and flour. Blend by hand. Bake in loaf pan lined with greased foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
