HOT MEXICAN STEW 
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into bite-size pieces
1 1/2 c. water
1 (4 oz.) can taco sauce
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 med. potatoes, peeled & cubed

Saute onion in oil in a large skillet until tender. Add steak, cook over medium heat, stirring often until brown on all sides. Add water, taco sauce, green chilies and seasoning. Stir gently. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until steak is tender. Add potatoes. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until steak and potatoes are tender, stirring often.
