KETCHUP 
1/2 bu. tomatoes
5 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. salt
5 c. vinegar
1/4 c. ketchup spice
2 onions, minced
Paprika to color

Wash, peel and quarter tomatoes. Cook until soft. Strain. Bring puree to boil. Cook slowly. Reduce to 3/4 previous bulk. Stir frequently. Add paprika, salt, sugar and vinegar. Add ketchup, spice and onion. Cook to desired thickness. Pour into jars. Seal at once. Makes 12 pints.
