YANKEE CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
2 (16 oz.) cans tomato juice
1-2 cans kidney beans
16 oz. water
2 c. cooked egg noodles (do not over cook)

Cook ground beef with onion in skillet until all pink is gone; drain fat from meat and onions, transfer mixture to a Dutch oven and add seasonings and tomato juice, tomatoes and water; simmer for 20-30 minutes, then add cooked egg noodles and kidney beans. Serve right away with bread or crackers. It's even better the next day.
