GOOEY BUTTER CAKE | |
17 oz. box Dromedary pound cake mix 1/2 c. butter, melted 4 eggs 8 oz. cream cheese 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 3/4 c. powdered sugar 1 c. chopped nuts Combine cake mix, butter and 2 eggs. Blend well. Spread batter in greased 9"x13" pan. Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in remaining 2 eggs and vanilla. Set aside 1/2 c. powdered sugar. Beat in remaining sugar. Pour batter evenly into pan. Sprinkle walnuts on top. Bake at 350 degrees until cake pulls away from sides, 35 to 45 minutes. Cool 20 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. |
