CHOCOLATE FUDGE CANDY 
2 c. sugar (1 c. brown, 1 c. white)
2 squares chocolate
2/3 c. cream or milk
2 tbsp. white syrup
2 tbsp. butter
Few grains salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Put all ingredients in large saucepan. Cook, stirring often until forms soft ball when dropped in cold water. Add vanilla and let cool to lukewarm. Beat until creamy and mixture loses its shine. Pour into buttered pan or platter. Cut into squares. 1 cup nuts may be added while beating candy.
