NEVER FAIL CHOCOLATE CANDY 
2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
2/3 c. milk
2-4 tsp. cocoa (your taste will tell)
1-2 tbsp. peanut butter
Pinch salt
1/2 tbsp. butter
Vanilla
Nutmeats may be added (optional)

Combine sugar, cream of tartar, milk, and cocoa in saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Remove from heat and add salt, peanut butter and vanilla. Beat until it begins to loose its gloss. Put in buttered pan and cool; cut.
