CINNAMON CANDY | |
4 c. sugar 1 3/4 c. light corn syrup 1 c. water 2 to 3 tsp. cinnamon oil 1 tsp. red food coloring Lightly oil 15x11 inch or 2x9 inch pan. Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Then without stirring, continue to boil to the hard crack stage. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon oil and food coloring. Pour into greased pan, let cool and break into pieces. (You may want to experiment with the amount of cinnamon oil. The more you use the hotter it gets.) Also, be careful when adding the oil, the fumes can burn your eyes and nose if you are standing over the pan. |
