CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM SOUP | |
1 frying chicken, cut up 1 finely sliced bell pepper 2 or 3 ribs celery, sliced finely 2 or 3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 lg. onion, sliced finely Salt and pepper 4 tbsp. butter 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup Melt butter in large skillet. Salt and pepper chicken. Place in skillet, cover and let simmer for 40 to 50 minutes. Remove cover and let chicken brown. When brown, remove from pan and in same pan, saute pepper, celery, garlic and onion. Add chicken, soups and enough water to make thick gravy. Cook over low heat for 1 hour. |
