WILTED LETTUCE 
2 heads lettuce
3 eggs
1/4 c. water
1 lb. bacon
1/2 c. vinegar
1 1/2 c. sugar

Dice bacon and fry until crisp. Cool. Beat eggs until frothy. Add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper to taste; beat again. Add to hot bacon grease, stirring constantly until it boils. Pour over lettuce while hot. Use 2 heads of lettuce. Break up lettuce, add onion if desired. Extra vinegar may be added, if desired.
