LOWFAT RAISIN OAT BRAN SCONES 
1 1/2 c. oat bran
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/3 c. butter
1 egg
2 egg whites
1/3 c. lowfat plain yogurt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Mix together first 5 ingredients. Cut in butter.

3. In small bowl, beat egg and egg whites. Mix in yogurt and vanilla.

4. Add dry ingredients. Add raisins.

5. Place dough on ungreased cookie sheet. Pat into 10 inch circle and cut into 12 (2-3 inch) circles (using top of a glass).

6. Bake 20-25 minutes. Makes 12 scones.

Per Scone: 195 calories/5 grams fat (21%); 37 g carbohydrates; 5.7 g protein; 142 mg sodium; 3 g fiber; 18 mg cholesterol.
