GRANNY FOLDS' SCONES 
10 oz. self-rising flour
4 oz. butter
3 oz. sugar
1/4 pt. milk

Place flour in a bowl. Add sugar and butter, slowly add the milk working it into a dough. Roll out on board 1/2-3/4 inch thick either cutting or hand forming dough into a round about 3-3 1/2 inches in diameter. Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

Best eaten fresh out of oven. Served with butter-marmalade, jam or a hole poked in with finger and filled with syrup. Serves 8-10.
