SWISS STEAK 
1 or 2 thick sirloin steaks
2 or 3 lg. cans tomatoes
2 lg. onions, sliced
2 bell peppers, sliced
Salt and pepper
Flour
Shortening

Cut steak into serving size pieces. Mix salt, pepper and flour in shallow dish. Dredge steak pieces in flour and brown in melted shortening in skillet. Remove steak pieces to large baking container or Dutch oven. Pour tomatoes and juice over steak pieces. Salt and pepper to taste.

Place onion and bell pepper slices over all. This can be baked in a 350 degree oven for 2 to 3 hours until steak is very tender; or it can be simmered on top of stove for 2 to 3 hours until steak is very tender.
