MICROWAVE BEEF AND BOWS 
1 to 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 c. finely chopped onions
1/2 c. green pepper (optional)
8 oz. uncooked "bow" noodles
2 c. tomato juice
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. ketchup
2 c. water
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Brown meat in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish, drain grease. Add onion and pepper and cook 1-2 minutes more. Push meat aside and place noodles in bottom of casserole dish, spoon meat over the top of noodles. Sprinkle with spices and combined liquids. Cover and microwave on high 35 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Yield: 5-6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
