BEEF AND BISCUITS OR DUMPLINGS 
1 lg. piece round steak
Salt and pepper
Garlic powder
1 onion
Water
1-2 tbsp. vegetable oil or spray coating
1 recipe drop biscuits or dumplings

Trim steak and cut into about 3 inch serving pieces. Season with the salt, pepper and garlic powder. Brown in the bottom of a 4 1/2 quart dutch oven in the oil. Add diced onion and cook until soft. Fill pot about 3/4 full of water and simmer for 2-3 hours or until meat is fork tender. Thicken gravy if desired. Drop biscuits or dumplings on top and place pot in a 350 degree oven. Bake 10-15 minutes or until done.
