SPICY DEEP FRIED CATFISH | |
6 catfish fillets, cut in half (or your favorite fish) 1 cup yellow corn meal 3/4 cup Wondra flour 1 tbsp. creole seasoning (Tony's) 1 tbsp. black pepper 2 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. salt 2 1/2 cups FRANK'S® RedHot hot sauce Heat deep fryer to 360°F. In large bowl mix corn meal, Wondra flour, creole seasoning, pepper, garlic and salt together. In another bowl pour in hot sauce and lay individual half fillets in sauce, then transfer to the dry ingredients bowl. Make sure the fish is fully covered. Slowly put in fryer for about five minutes or until fish is popping out of the oil. Should be a dark golden brown color. Serves 3 to 5 (can easily double recipe). Submitted by: Alec Dudeck |
