PIE CRUST COOKIES 
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk or sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar and salt in bowl. Add shortening and work until fine. Combine eggs, buttermilk and soda; stir until foamy. Add to the dry ingredients with vanilla and mix well. Drop by heaping teaspoonsful on greased cookie sheets. Bake in 375-400 degree oven about 10 minutes.
