MOM'S OATMEAL CARMELITAS 
1 c. flour
1 c. quick - cooking rolled oats
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. semi - sweet chocolate
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
3 tbsp. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, salt and melted butter. Blend to form crumbs. Press 1/2 of crumb mixture in the bottom of 7 x 11 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chips and pecans. Blend caramel and flour; pour over chips and pecans. Sprinkle with rest of crumb mixture. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into bars.
